As Long as We’re Together

Beneath one leaf. Together.

A red leaf shelters a small family. A storm gathers around them, while another sky appears in the water below. The surreal artwork carries through to objects in a handful of details: the curve of a leaf, a suspended drop, ripples and the rhythm of feathers.

Story and motifs

Sometimes, shelter is simply being together.

A rooster, a hen and their chick gather beneath a single leaf. They cannot escape the storm, but they can wait for it to pass together.

Above the water, the clouds are still dark. In the reflection, the sky is already opening to light. The artwork explores belonging and the quiet reassurance of having someone close.

Four details carry the story forward.

The red leaf
A sheltering curve and a distinctive accent of colour.
The water drop
One suspended detail that draws the eye.
The ripples
Fine lines translated into surface and form.
The feathers
Black and ivory markings, reduced to narrow accents.

Interiors

Sculpture

Three forms. One shared shelter.

Three closely gathered, drop-like forms suggest the family. A red leaf and a suspended glass drop translate the painting’s story into an object. The concept is shown on a console, with potential for reception areas and quiet reading corners.
