THE COLLECTION’S STORY
It began with a tilt of the head
It all began with a tilt of the head.
A tiny Maltese dog stopped in front of me and tilted its head. It waited. Then it placed a paw on my knee, as if to say: surely it is time we paid each other some attention.
That familiar gesture became Színes társak. In my imagination, cobalt blue, mint and orange appeared across the white coat. Loose brushstrokes, uneven circles, little scribbles — patterns as lively and unpredictable as a game together.
The collection holds three moments in the dog’s day.
“I’m listening”
The dog sits, tilts its head and follows your every move. A walk, or just a trip to the next room? Either way, it is ready.
“Play with me”
Front paws stretch out and its hindquarters lift. Whatever else you had planned, this invitation is hard to refuse. The next few minutes belong to both of you.
“Beside you”
When the game is over, the dog curls up. Its head rests on a paw and its eyes slowly close. Now and then, an ear moves at the sound of you nearby.
These moments shape the collection: a gesture in sculpture, colour in a painting, an embrace in the plush-toy concept.
They all began with the same small companion who placed a paw on my knee one ordinary morning — and persuaded everything else to wait.
