A STORY THAT CONTINUES
A boot, a hair ornament and a walk
Aenili’s spiral hair and Nili’s white coat link all three scenes. Their stories draw on situations familiar to anyone who shares a home with a dog.
The collection is intended for people who enjoy contemporary art, animals and collectible objects with a story.

The price of a boot
Nili steals Aenili’s boot and is willing to return it — for a treat.

THE STORY BEHIND THE PIECE
Aenili was ready to leave, but one of her boots had vanished. Nili appeared with it and sat down proudly in front of her.
“Will you give it back?”
Nili wagged her tail, then turned towards the treat tin. The boot was recovered. Their morning walk began with a brief business negotiation.

I want hair like that!
Aenili places a beaded ornament in Nili’s topknot. Nili likes it so much that she refuses to give it back.

THE STORY BEHIND THE PIECE
Aenili tucked a small beaded coil into Nili’s topknot. Just for fun.
Nili sat in front of the mirror and lifted her nose with satisfaction.
When Aenili reached to remove the ornament, Nili moved away. The experiment was over. The hairstyle stayed.

The four-legged guide
Aenili brings a map for a new route. Nili already knows exactly where to find dog biscuits.

“Today we’re taking a new route!” said Aenili, unfolding the map.
Nili set off with purpose. Not a moment’s hesitation at any corner. She led Aenili straight to the dog biscuits.
“Did you plan this all along?” Nili sat down and waited for her guide’s fee.
