BOOKS & THEATRE / ORIGINAL WRITING
Jobbra húz vagy balra húzzzzzz!
Who has the right to tell our story?
Synopsis
In her salon, Camilla wants to turn women’s dating experiences into a book. A good story is not always an accurate memory: as the characters re-enact awkward encounters, they challenge the sentences written about them. Can the comedy retain its humour while giving each person their own voice?
The six-performer version follows Veronika, Lilla and Renáta. A separate four-character version places Camilla, Reni, Brigi and Máté under a manuscript deadline. These are distinct development versions.
Documented stage versions
| Cast | Structure | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Six performers | 6 main scenes | 60–75 min target |
| Four performers | 9 scenes | 75–85 min target |
Both manuscripts are dated 24 September 2026. Running times are planning estimates, not measured performances. The preferred production version remains to be selected.
Original passage
CAMILLA Of course, we discussed it. They’ve read it, yes. Now they only need to sign off. We’ll send it at seven, as I promised. BRIGI I brought pretzels. CAMILLA Not on the manuscript. BRIGI Then I won’t dedicate them just yet.
Working translation of the Hungarian source. The two short dialogue blocks above are separated by stage directions in the original.
